This was one of my most satisfying projects.  NASA initially tested the space shuttle by flying it piggyback on a 747 jumbo jet.  They discovered a serious communications problem that had to be fixed.  The TV signals interfered with and sometimes destroyed the computer data being relayed to the Houston control center.  I determined the cause of the problem and developed the "Shuttle Video Deviation Limiter" system to solve the problem and protect the computer data.  I built about 8 units by hand and delivered them to NASA.  The units were deployed around the world at all the satellite relay stations used in the space shuttle communications system.
